The role of smoking and socio-economy in explaining inequalities in breast -ovarian and colorectal cancer incidence and mortality

AIMS
The overall goal is to prospectively examine the notion that smoking may be a preventable cause of breast -, ovarian - and colorectal cancer incidence and mortality
Three main objectives each with sub goals:
- I. Breast Cancer. Study the association between smoking and a) incidence and b) mortality of breast cancer c) Examine if the socioeconomic trends and smoking patterns contribute to inequalities in health related to breast cancer among Norwegian women.
- II. Study the association between smoking and a) incidence and b) mortality of ovarian cancer. c) Examine if the socioeconomic trends and smoking patterns contribute to inequalities in health related to ovarian cancer among Norwegian women.
- III. Study the association between smoking and a) incidence and b) mortality of colorectal cancer. c) Examine if the socioeconomic trends and smoking patterns contribute to inequalities in health related to colorectal cancer among Norwegian women.
