Entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship and the commercialization of High North Science: Building a collaborative circumpolar network for the new economy

This project will through the collaboration between UoT, HUC, UoS and UoW aim for High North science (agricultural and marine biotechnology, oil and gas, new energy, telemedicine, earth, space  satellite, fishery and aquaculture) through education of entrepreneurs in an international environment.  The challenges in business creation and intrapreneurship in the North like small and spatially local markets, insufficient infrastructure and difficult logistics, limited access to highly educated workers, venture capital and private equity put this project in a specifically important spot for cultural and interactive learning between student bodies at UoT, HUC and UoS and UoW. Business education in the north, however, rarely deal with these particular challenges and this project builds in an exchange of students, lecturers and company connections that fills this gap.
