Norwegian Language Courses for international students and employees at the University of Tromsø, Level 1 and Level 2
Autumn semester 2013

These courses are exclusively for employees and international students at the University of Tromsø.The courses will run for an entire semester. It is possible to attend courses at the same level only once. Most courses will take place in the afternoons and evenings.
In the autumn term of 2013, we offer courses at Level 1A (Introductory Level, first part), Level 1B (Introductory Level, second part), and Level 2 (Intermediate Level).
Level 1A
This course is for students who have no prior knowledge of Norwegian. The time commitment is 48 hours (4 hours weekly). The instructional material will be provided by your teacher.
Level 1B
This course is for students who have some prior knowledge of Norwegian. The time commitment is 48 hours (4 hours weekly). To enroll in this course you must prove your skills through a placement test (see below). The instructional material will be provided by your teacher.
Level 2
This course builds on Level 1 and covers the book STEIN PÅ STEIN. The time commitment is 78 hours (6 hours weekly). To enroll in this course you must prove your skills through a placement test (see below).

For registration, please fill in the registation form by pushing the button below "sign me up". Please note that you must state your affiliation to the University of Tromsø when you register (Faculty: press on the book to the right).
Registration deadline: Friday August 23, 2013
Registration will be open from about May 10, 2012.
Placement test
For those who are applying for Level 1B or Level 2, there will be a placement test held August 26 at 6 PM (18:00) room E-0101 at Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Education. The placement test is mandatory.

This semester, all information about your group will be sent to you by e-mail. Therefore, be sure to fill in a valid e-mail address in the registration form.
Classes begin: Monday September 2, 2013.
